Unified Inbox and Folders
Work across inboxes, sent mail, archive folders, labels, and custom folders.
The combined inbox merges every connected account into one message list. Each row still knows which account it belongs to, and the folder pane keeps each provider's own folder tree beside the merged view.

Combined for reading, separate underneath: every message keeps its account.
The combined view
- The account selector at the top left switches between Combined Inbox and any single account.
- Per-account filtering narrows the combined list to one mailbox without leaving the merged view.
- Unread counts, stars, and importance markers carry through from each provider.
- Threaded conversations group replies using Message-ID, In-Reply-To, and References headers, so two unrelated messages with the same subject are never merged.
Folders
- The folder pane shows each account's real folder tree, nested exactly as it exists on the server.
- Renaming or moving a folder at the provider does not break PressedMail's copy. The tree follows the server.
- System folders (Sent, Drafts, Archive, Junk, Trash) map to their provider equivalents per account.
- Scheduled and Snoozed appear as workspace folders once those features are in use.
Tags
Tags are PressedMail's own layer and work across accounts. A tag applied to a message in one mailbox can be filtered together with tagged mail from every other mailbox. AI auto-tagging can apply tags automatically. The deterministic rule matcher does not execute its add-label action.
Plan Availability
The single-account inbox, folder tree, and tags are in every build. The combined inbox, threading, and per-account filtering are paid features.
If something looks wrong
- Folder missing: confirm it exists at the provider, then let the next sync complete.
- Counts stale: trigger a manual refresh from the toolbar, or shorten the sync interval under Settings → Accounts.
- Duplicated folders: see Inbox Sync and Sending Troubleshooting.
