Start Troubleshooting

Choose the right troubleshooting article for install, connection, inbox, license, AI, automation, or security issues.

Start every investigation in the same place: Settings → Diagnostics. It checks the environment (PHP version, IMAP driver, WP-Cron, database tables, outbound HTTPS) and produces a copyable report that answers most of the questions support would otherwise ask first.

The report to copy into a support request

Reading diagnostics

  • A green check passed; a red check names the failure; a yellow one could not be verified.
  • Copy the report before opening a support request. It carries versions and check results without any mailbox content.
  • Re-run checks after a fix; the report reflects the current state, not history.

A decision tree routing a symptom to the right troubleshooting page, starting from the Diagnostics report.

Every path starts in the same place: Settings → Diagnostics.

Pick the page for the symptom

  • Cannot install or activate the plugin → Install and Activation Troubleshooting
  • An account will not connect, or authentication fails → Email Connection Troubleshooting
  • Mail is stale, missing, or will not send → Inbox Sync and Sending Troubleshooting
  • License, sites, or updates misbehaving → Licenses, Sites, and Updates Troubleshooting
  • AI, rules, or security features acting oddly → AI Automation and Security Troubleshooting
  • Quick answers → FAQ

What support needs

The Diagnostics report, PressedMail version and edition, the WordPress and PHP versions if not in the report, hosting provider, what you expected, what happened instead, and for connection issues, the provider involved and whether one or every mailbox is affected. Include sanitised error text. Never send passwords or license keys in plain text; support will not ask for them.
