Other email providers
Find the account requirements and server references for Zoho, AOL, Fastmail, mailbox.org, and GMX.
Zoho, AOL, Fastmail, mailbox.org, and GMX use the Custom Email setup path. They are not separate selectable presets. These are provider configuration references, not a claim that every plan or regional service has been tested with PressedMail.
Start by checking that your provider plan permits external IMAP and SMTP access.
Server reference
Use SSL/TLS on the IMAP ports below. The SMTP column includes its encryption mode. Account-specific settings from your provider take precedence.

Zoho
Check Server Configuration Details inside your Zoho account. Region, account type, and plan affect the endpoint and whether external-client access is available. Paid custom-domain accounts can use the imappro and smtppro hosts rather than the personal-account hosts.
Use the full account address and an application password when multi-factor authentication requires one. Your organization may also restrict IMAP. See Zoho's IMAP and SMTP settings.
AOL
Use the complete AOL address and an AOL-generated app password rather than the password you use for the website. Check AOL's third-party email guidance for the account's current requirements. If AOL does not offer an app password for your account, resolve that with AOL before retrying PressedMail.
Fastmail
Use your Fastmail login address, not an unrelated alias, and an app password with mail access. The regular account password will not work. Fastmail's Basic plans do not include external IMAP/SMTP access. Port 587 with STARTTLS is an alternative SMTP setting. See Fastmail's server names and ports.
mailbox.org
Use the main mailbox address. With two-factor authentication, create a dedicated application password under All settings > Security > Application passwords. Port 587 with STARTTLS is also available for SMTP. See mailbox.org's email configuration.
GMX
Enable external IMAP access if your account requires it and confirm the settings for your regional GMX service. The table above covers GMX.com, not every regional domain. Port 465 with SSL/TLS is an alternative SMTP setting. See GMX's IMAP server data.
Add the mailbox in PressedMail
- Open Settings > Email Connections > Add Account.
- Choose Custom Email and enter the mailbox address and display name.
- Enter both sets of server settings and the provider-approved credentials.
- Run Test Connection, then save the account.
- Check a recent inbox message, send to an address you control, and reply from it.
The Custom IMAP and SMTP guide explains separate incoming and outgoing credentials. If a test fails, use Mailbox connections rather than trying random hostnames.
