License Activation
Activate PressedMail Pro inside WordPress, check the site status, and move an activation safely.
A paid PressedMail Pro build must be activated on each WordPress site that uses paid features. Activation ties the current site URL to the license key and unlocks the Pro feature flags used by the plugin.

Activate
- Sign in at pressedmail.com and open Home > Downloads or Home > Sites to find the license key for the site.
- In WordPress, open PressedMail.
- If Pro is not licensed yet, the plugin shows the license activation screen. You can also open PressedMail > Settings > Licensing.
- Paste the value into the License Key field.
- Select Activate License.
- Confirm the License Management card shows an active license, the activation count, and the current expiration or plan status.
Check Status
The plugin validates license status through the PressedMail REST license endpoint. If the site was already activated, PressedMail loads normally and performs a lightweight status check. If the license is missing or inactive, Pro routes stay behind the activation screen until a valid key is saved.
License activation, validation, entitlement, and authorized-update requests may include the license key, WordPress site URL, product and plugin version, WordPress version, PHP version, activation status, and technical compatibility information. These fields are used only to validate the installation, allocate activation slots, provide licensed downloads, and determine update compatibility.
License requests do not include mailbox message bodies, attachments, email passwords, OAuth access tokens, or OAuth refresh tokens. See the PressedMail Privacy Policy and PressedMail Terms for the complete service disclosure.
Move a site
Deactivate the old WordPress site before activating the replacement domain. In WordPress, use Deactivate License from the Licensing tab. In the customer account, use Home > Sites to review which domains are using activation slots. After deactivation, install PressedMail Pro on the new site and activate the same key there.
Common Activation Issues
- The key is copied with spaces: paste only the license key value.
- The site URL changed: deactivate the previous URL, then activate the current site URL.
- The activation limit is reached: remove an old site from Home > Sites or upgrade the plan.
- The plugin cannot reach the license service: check outbound HTTPS from WordPress and retry from Settings > Licensing.
