Plugin Integrity

Learn how PressedMail Pro compares installed plugin files with the checksum supplied during license validation.

Plugin integrity is a PressedMail Pro status shown with an active license. During normal license validation, the license server returns the trusted installed-content checksum for the exact PressedMail Pro version on your site. That value is part of the server's signed response. PressedMail compares it with a checksum calculated from the installed plugin files.

Installed files checked against the trusted checksum

The comparison does not send your site's content, email, settings, license key, or individual plugin files to the server.

Statuses

  • A green checkmark means the installed files match the trusted checksum for that exact version.
  • A red X means the installed files do not match. An incomplete upload, a manual file edit, or damaged files can cause this result.
  • A yellow warning means a trustworthy comparison is not currently available. This can happen when the license server cannot be reached or does not yet have a checksum for the installed version.

An integrity warning does not disable PressedMail, change license validity, or restrict plugin functionality.

Resolve a Warning or Mismatch

First, confirm that the installed version is an official PressedMail Pro build. For a red mismatch, download the same version again from your PressedMail account and replace the plugin files with that clean copy. For a yellow warning, leave the plugin installed and allow the next normal license validation to try again.

If the status remains after reinstalling the exact version or after license validation becomes available, contact PressedMail support with the plugin version and the status color shown on the License page. Do not send your license key.
