1.8.3

Summary

1.8.3 gets PressedMail Pro ready for WooCommerce. With the free Woo Bridge companion, each WooCommerce email can go out through its own SMTP account and sender, built from a PressedMail template that fills in the order. Routed mail keeps the From name your shop set, and the WordPress Email tabs fit on a phone now.

Added

  • Pro: with the PressedMail Woo Bridge companion active, Settings, WordPress Email gets a WooCommerce tab. Pick a template, an SMTP account and a sender for each WooCommerce email, and sync your customers into a contact list.
  • Pro: templates and campaigns can use WooCommerce order fields such as {{woo.order_number}} while the Woo Bridge is active. In a campaign, each contact's latest order fills them in.

Fixed

  • The WordPress Email tabs wrap on a phone instead of pushing the settings page sideways.
  • Pro: choosing a sender address for an email no longer replaces the From name your shop or plugin set. Only an SMTP account set to "Force the From address" still does.
  • Pro: the WordPress Email "Send test" now reports the connection that really carried the message, instead of saying it did not go through SMTP.
  • Pro: when an AI provider refuses the connection test, the error shows the status code and the provider's own reason, such as HTTP 429 insufficient_quota, stays on the card instead of vanishing after a moment, and the activity log keeps it.
  • Pro: every AI request goes only to the address PressedMail checked for your provider. That now covers summaries, drafts, replies, auto-tagging and phishing checks, not only the connection test, and a second DNS answer can no longer send a request somewhere the check never saw.

Upgrade Notes

  • Nothing to do. The Woo Bridge is a separate free download from your pressedmail.com account. It needs PressedMail Pro 1.8.3 or newer and WooCommerce 8.2 or newer.

Using PressedMail in your own work? Submit a testimonial

I save hours & it’s easy to use

I have a lot of email accounts, and it’s annoying to manage them through different providers. I needed something better than what was out there, so I built it. I spent the better part of two years making PressedMail the plugin I wanted to use every day, and now I get to share it with everyone else. I added my accounts, automated the cleanup of over 3000 emails, and it’s saved me hours of work.

Helps get more clients

As a freelancer I need to manage several clients’ accounts. I installed PressedMail on WordPress on localhost and use it as my main email client. I manage everything for clients from PressedMail. And several clients use PressedMail now after I have set their WordPress instances up.

  • Email Swiss Army Knife

We use PressedMail as a value added service for clients and potential clients as a feature of our agency’s offering helping put us ahead of competition. We love the white-labelling feature, automation, and security controls. It also replaces several of the other plugins we used to use and it’s like a small CRM.
