Summary
1.7.2 makes delete and move fast again, opens messages faster, reads a message once when storage is off, fixes the spam check on older Outlook mail, and tidies the PressedOut layout.
Added
- Nothing new this time; 1.7.2 is speed and fixes.
Changed
- Deleting or moving mail asks the mail server far less: one Gmail delete went from 8 commands to 3, which on a slow connection is several seconds per click.
- Delete, Move to junk, Restore and Not spam in the bulk bar take the rows off the list as soon as you click. If the server refuses, they come back with the reason.
- Opening a message that is not stored on the site yet takes fewer trips to the mail server, about 6 seconds less on a slow Gmail connection.
- With "Store email on this site" off, an opened message is read from the mail server once instead of twice.
- Pro, PressedOut layout: All mail and Unread are buttons of their own beside Compose and Refresh.
- Ultimate: after you move mail or press Refresh in a mailbox shared with you, its sync goes ahead of other mailboxes' work, as it already did for your own.
Fixed
- Pro: mail stored before 1.7.1 whose Message-ID header was folded onto a second line, as Outlook sends it, gets its ID back, so the spam and phishing checks work on it.
- Pro, PressedOut layout: the dividers in the reading pane's action row sit centred.
Upgrade Notes
- Nothing to do.
