1.4.0

Summary

Adds connected SMTP, Templates, Forms and Ultimate Campaigns tools, and improves AI decisions, notifications and access controls.

Added

  • SMTP connection health, administrative diagnostics and WordPress system-email routing.
  • Pro email templates, reusable blocks, categories and custom WordPress system-email assignments.
  • Style-neutral signup forms with import/export, optional CAPTCHA, contact-list collection and standalone HTML for external websites.
  • Per-form allowed websites defaulting to *, comma-separated domain restrictions and optional JSON responses for embedded subscriptions.
  • Ultimate campaigns with an existing-resource preflight, five setup groups, inline template and form creation, explicit SMTP selection, consent confirmation and unsubscribe.
  • Campaign selection and analytics with period-specific measurements and unavailable states when verified bounce feedback is missing.
  • Contact-list selections in To, Cc and Bcc, and saved-block insertion in templates and composed emails.
  • Per-user PressedMail access overrides and a paged user list.

Changed

  • PressedMail AI evaluates spam and phishing through explicit decision matrices and abstains when evidence is unclear. Existing deployed Worker responses remain supported.
  • Spam and phishing share one decision-model request and one credit. Reports show structured evidence, probabilities and confidence where the model provides them.
  • Tag suggestions use existing tags and the user's confidence thresholds.
  • AI Tools separates provider settings from per-user credits and lists users with PressedMail access.
  • Notifications page older results, open the referenced email or event, and expose mute and pause controls.
  • Users without PressedMail access cannot continue background sync, scheduled delivery, notifications or AI work until access returns.

Fixed

  • Contact-list sends exclude pending, bounced and unsubscribed contacts.
  • Contact CSV and vCard imports enforce file and record budgets before writing contacts.
  • Initial editor content stays intact when undoing the first edit.
  • Credential rekeying retains its old key after failed database reads and retries safely.
  • Sharing privacy exports and erasures report retryable storage failures instead of false completion.
  • Security index upgrades verify required indexes and repair earlier incomplete migrations.
  • Workers respect the host PHP time limit and defer work when too little time remains.
  • Campaign dispatch preserves failure counters between runs and reports exhausted delivery failures.
  • Confirmation traffic cannot permanently starve campaign sending.
  • Template and block Preview/Edit controls stay usable and preserve the authoring document.
  • Hidden email summaries can be reopened, and theme controls use equal-width, single-line choices.
  • Campaign checklist navigation keeps scrolling inside the content area.
  • Notification keyboard focus, mobile calendar navigation, dark-theme text contrast and revoked-access handling.

Upgrade Notes

  • Plugin-owned WordPress tables upgrade automatically. Contact-list memberships are backfilled without clearing opt-outs.
  • Mailbox messages continue using their mailbox SMTP. Campaigns use the explicitly selected system SMTP connection.
  • Templates and plain signup forms require Pro. Campaigns and their confirmation, unsubscribe and analytics workflows require Ultimate, as does sharing.
  • Tracking is off by default. SMTP acceptance and tracking estimates do not establish delivery or human engagement.

...I save hours & it's easy to use...

I have a lot of email accounts and it's annoying to manage them through different providers. I installed PressedMail, added my accounts, and automated the cleanup of over 3000 emails. PressedMail has saved me hours of work.

...Helps get more clients...

As a freelancer I need to manage several clients' accounts. I installed PressedMail on WordPress on localhost and use it as my main email client. I manage everything for clients from PressedMail. And several clients use PressedMail now after I have set their WordPress instances up.

...Email Swiss Army Knife...

We use PressedMail as a value added service for clients and potential clients as a feature of our agency's offering helping put us ahead of competition. We love the white-labelling feature, automation, and security controls. It also replaces several of the other plugins we used to use and it's like a small CRM.
