1.0.24

Summary

PressedMail 1.0.24 is a single-fix release. If you run PressedMail and
PressedNotes on the same site, PressedMail was breaking the site's REST API,
which takes the whole editor and admin down with it. Everyone else is
unaffected, and there is nothing new to learn.

Fixed

  • PressedMail no longer breaks sites that also run PressedNotes. It was

registering the same feature-status endpoint twice. WordPress itself puts up
with that, which is why it went unnoticed for three releases, but PressedNotes
checks for exactly this and stops the site's REST API dead when it finds it.
Nothing PressedMail did with the second endpoint was ever used, so it is gone.

Only the paid edition was ever affected. The free edition does not ship the
files involved, so 1.0.24 Free is a version bump and nothing else.

Upgrade Notes

  • If your site has been showing "There has been a critical error on this

website" since installing both plugins, updating to 1.0.24 clears it. No
settings change and no reconnection needed.

...I save hours & it's easy to use...

I have a lot of email accounts and it's annoying to manage them through different providers. I installed PressedMail, added my accounts, and automated the cleanup of over 3000 emails. PressedMail has saved me hours of work.

...Helps get more clients...

As a freelancer I need to manage several clients' accounts. I installed PressedMail on WordPress on localhost and use it as my main email client. I manage everything for clients from PressedMail. And several clients use PressedMail now after I have set their WordPress instances up.

...Email Swiss Army Knife...

We use PressedMail as a value added service for clients and potential clients as a feature of our agency's offering helping put us ahead of competition. We love the white-labelling feature, automation, and security controls. It also replaces several of the other plugins we used to use and it's like a small CRM.
