Using PressedMail with WordPress on CloudPanel

CloudPanel hosts the WordPress site, while a separate mail provider supplies the mailbox that PressedMail connects to over IMAP and SMTP.

Use PressedMail on a CloudPanel-hosted WordPress site

CloudPanel does not bundle an email service. It keeps web hosting separate from mailbox hosting, so you need an external provider or a separately managed mail server. PressedMail then connects the WordPress site to that mailbox.

Choose where the mailbox lives

Use a hosted provider such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoho, or Fastmail, or run a dedicated mail server outside the WordPress application stack. CloudPanel lists both hosted and self-hosted options in its email documentation.

Before opening PressedMail, confirm that you can sign in to the provider's webmail and send and receive a test message.

Collect the connection details

You will need:

  • the full mailbox address
  • the IMAP host, port, and encryption method
  • the SMTP host, port, and encryption method
  • the provider's required password, app password, or OAuth sign-in method

These values come from the mail provider, not CloudPanel.

Connect it in PressedMail

Install PressedMail on the WordPress site, choose the matching provider preset when one is available, and test the connection. For another provider or a private server, use custom IMAP and SMTP settings.

This split keeps each tool doing one job: CloudPanel runs WordPress, your mail provider handles delivery, and PressedMail brings the inbox into the dashboard.

...Helps get more clients...

As a freelancer I need to manage several clients' accounts. I installed PressedMail on WordPress on localhost and use it as my main email client. I manage everything for clients from PressedMail. And several clients use PressedMail now after I have set their WordPress instances up.

...Email Swiss Army Knife...

We use PressedMail as a value added service for clients and potential clients as a feature of our agency's offering helping put us ahead of competition. We love the white-labelling feature, automation, and security controls. It also replaces several of the other plugins we used to use and it's like a small CRM.
