Direct provider connection
Mail moves between your server and your provider, and is mirrored only into your own WordPress database so search and rules can work. The single PressedMail-hosted component is the Microsoft OAuth relay, which holds the app credentials so you do not have to. Tokens are redeemed server to server, and no mail passes through it.

A passphrase lock in front of the mailbox, credentials reachable only inside an explicit guarded context, and SHA-256 integrity checking that notices if plugin files have been altered.
