Summary
1.7.9 gives templates and blocks the page: the body fills the window, every setting sits in a resizable right column, and Preview opens in place. The composer toolbar gains paragraph guides, and the editor's action group is clearer about what is on and what each button does.
Added
- Composer toolbar settings: Show lines draws paragraph guides while you write.
- The Fields menu is on the composer toolbar, so a field can be inserted from the message, a template or a saved block.
Changed
- Opening a template or block gives it the page. The library steps aside and the body gets the whole width.
- Name, category, sender, recipient, subject and the other settings live in the right column. Drag the line to size the editor. The column remembers its width and can be hidden.
- Preview shows the filled message in the page, not in a dialog. Returning to the editor keeps the same document, undo history and caret.
- The editor's actions sit in one group: Enabled, delete, duplicate, settings and save, each with a tooltip.
Fixed
- The Enabled control now reads Enabled or Disabled and fills while on, so its state is visible before saving.
- The posts card uses wp_parse_url(), which clears the Plugin Check finding and keeps address parsing on WordPress's own helper.
Upgrade Notes
- Nothing to do.
Internal Notes
- Plugin Check on the Pro build reports only the four expected commercial updater rows.
