1.7.4

Summary

1.7.4 brings WordPress posts into templates and newsletters, fixes the button in signatures and auto-replies, and stops payment notices from known senders being called phishing.

Added

  • Pro templates: a Posts block. Design one card from the blocks you already use: featured image, linked title, date and author, excerpt, and a Read more button. Pick posts by hand, or let a list fill itself from WordPress filters: post type, categories or tags, author, how many, order and a date window. Lay it out in 1, 2 or 3 columns that hold in Outlook.
  • Pro templates: post fields (title, link, excerpt, date, author, type, categories and tags) for the card inside a Posts block.
  • Ultimate campaigns: posts are pulled in when a campaign launches. Options for "only posts since the last send", "skip posts already sent", and "skip the send when no posts match".
  • Ultimate campaigns: Send a new issue. One click turns a finished campaign into a new draft that pulls fresh posts when you launch it.

Changed

  • The button block has no alignment setting any more. Place it in Columns to position it. Buttons saved with an alignment still show.
  • The Signature and Auto-reply editors use your app theme and default font, and have the composer's Preview button.

Fixed

  • The button works in the Signature and Auto-reply editors: inserting one no longer closes its own form, and Update button updates the button instead of saving the whole signature.
  • Pro: a payment or account notice from a sender you know, with aligned authentication and months of mail you read, is no longer called Likely phishing (for example a Stripe notice for a merchant you pay). Look-alike or unauthenticated senders are judged as before.
  • German: the campaign launch hint uses "Sie".

Upgrade Notes

  • Nothing to do. Only public, published posts that are not password-protected ever reach an email.

...I save hours & it's easy to use...

I have a lot of email accounts and it's annoying to manage them through different providers. I installed PressedMail, added my accounts, and automated the cleanup of over 3000 emails. PressedMail has saved me hours of work.

...Helps get more clients...

As a freelancer I need to manage several clients' accounts. I installed PressedMail on WordPress on localhost and use it as my main email client. I manage everything for clients from PressedMail. And several clients use PressedMail now after I have set their WordPress instances up.

...Email Swiss Army Knife...

We use PressedMail as a value added service for clients and potential clients as a feature of our agency's offering helping put us ahead of competition. We love the white-labelling feature, automation, and security controls. It also replaces several of the other plugins we used to use and it's like a small CRM.
