1.4.4

Summary

1.4.4 fixes two things that were quietly wrong in sync, and adds tests for the work that went into 1.4.3. The 1.4.3 notes were short, so the full list is below.

Fixed

  • The Refresh button now runs the sync right away on every layout. It shows it is busy while it works, and you get a message if the refresh could not start or automatic mailbox work is paused. Pull to refresh on a phone is unchanged.
  • New mail and saved drafts no longer wait a minute or two to appear after you delete mail on another device. PressedMail used to read a clash in its own bookkeeping as a lost connection and held back new refreshes for a while.

Changed

  • Internal clean-up and new tests for the 1.4.3 changes.

Also in 1.4.3

1.4.3 went out with a one-line note in Free and one fix listed in Pro. It also carried the changes below.

  • Message content downloads faster, on its own lane.
  • Tooltips wrap instead of running off the screen.
  • Dropdown lists are readable in dark mode and draw one arrow.
  • The email rules Activity tab has a Stop button for runs that are still going.
  • Mail no longer arrives twice when Email notifications copy into a mailbox PressedMail reads (Pro).
  • Big security checks no longer fail partway. They go six at a time and read ahead (Pro).
  • With your own AI provider, an email over its context window is trimmed and retried (Pro).
  • Newsletters and digests, Reddit's included, are no longer marked spam on a first message alone (Pro).
  • The security checks on the bulk bar are one Security tools menu, and Stop AI queue now stops them (Pro).
  • Sweep can run the AI checks on picked mail or a whole folder, and save a rule for future mail (Pro).
  • With AI tools on, message content downloads first (Pro).
  • Closing a spam or phishing report on a phone no longer opens the message under it (Pro).

Upgrade Notes

  • Nothing to do. This release changes no settings and no data.
  • Pro: coming from 1.4.2? Spam results saved before 1.4.3 count as out of date, so those emails are checked again the next time a check runs on them.

...I save hours & it's easy to use...

I have a lot of email accounts and it's annoying to manage them through different providers. I installed PressedMail, added my accounts, and automated the cleanup of over 3000 emails. PressedMail has saved me hours of work.

...Helps get more clients...

As a freelancer I need to manage several clients' accounts. I installed PressedMail on WordPress on localhost and use it as my main email client. I manage everything for clients from PressedMail. And several clients use PressedMail now after I have set their WordPress instances up.

...Email Swiss Army Knife...

We use PressedMail as a value added service for clients and potential clients as a feature of our agency's offering helping put us ahead of competition. We love the white-labelling feature, automation, and security controls. It also replaces several of the other plugins we used to use and it's like a small CRM.
