One person, one mailbox
Free PressedMail now connects one mailbox and keeps one signature, and the
mailbox belongs to whoever connected it. That person is who opens PressedMail.
This is the shape of the plugin rather than a limit placed on a larger one, and
it is built that way. The code that manages several mailboxes is not in the free
package at all, so there is nothing sitting there waiting to be unlocked.
Nothing is refused, nothing is counted, and there is no upgrade prompt anywhere
in it. Connecting a mailbox simply points the plugin at that mailbox, and you
can change which one whenever you like.
No access policy to configure
Free no longer asks which WordPress roles may open PressedMail. With one mailbox
and one owner there is nothing to decide, so the setting is gone rather than
sitting there doing nothing.
An administrator can always claim a mailbox nobody has connected yet, and can
reclaim one whose owner was later deleted, so a site is never left with a
mailbox that nobody can open.
Pro is unchanged
As many mailboxes, signatures and people as before, and Access Control still
decides who may open it. Pro is a separate download.
Also
The readme now describes the plugin accurately. It had been promising unlimited
accounts in one place while listing one account in another.
A "Delete Account" and "Add Account" pair in the folder sidebar has been
removed. Neither had ever done anything when clicked.
