PressedMail 1.0.0 is the first supported production release of the WordPress
email client. It ships separate Free and Pro packages, with WordPress.org-ready
Free distribution metadata and isolated full builds for Google OAuth review.

Added

  • IMAP and SMTP mailbox connection, folder sync, search, message reading, and

compose, reply, and forward workflows inside WordPress.

  • Multiple mailbox connections, unlimited signatures and tags, conversation

views, responsive administration screens, capability-based user access, and
keyboard-friendly navigation in Free and Pro.

  • Sandboxed message rendering, remote-content controls, sender-impersonation

protection, and encrypted mailbox credentials.

  • Pro support for a combined inbox, productivity tools, contacts, calendars,

premium layouts, audit tools, and bring-your-own-key AI.

  • Nested-folder management with recursive parent loops blocked in both the

interface and API.

Changed

  • The public Free build uses the WordPress.org update channel and keeps Google

sign-in gated until OAuth verification is approved.

  • Public Free and Pro artifacts and OAuth-review artifacts are separated so

review-only provider access cannot enter the public release channel.

  • The canonical privacy policy is version 2.1, the WordPress Privacy Policy

Guide exposes separate email and Pro AI disclosures, and WordPress export and
erasure tools cover locally stored PressedMail records.

  • Optional Pro AI is disabled by default and now requires versioned,

provider-bound administrator consent.

  • License validation now runs at Cloudflare's edge through the canonical

curb.software endpoints, with signed responses and short-lived protected Pro
download redirects.

Fixed

  • Fixed a plugin-startup fatal in the email-body cleanup migration after the

storage policy API was consolidated.

  • Stabilized mailbox synchronization, unread and read state, account recovery,

calendar state, composer rendering, and account removal behavior for the
production launch.

  • Matched the sandboxed reading-pane wrapper and scrollbars to the WordPress

admin color scheme without altering message content.

  • Removed the Pro Update URI header while retaining license-gated transient

updates outside WordPress.org packages.

  • Removed prerelease-only release history and stale staging artifacts.

Upgrade Notes

  • This is the first supported public release. Internal 0.x development builds

are not supported upgrade sources; remove them and install 1.0.0 fresh.
